INCEPTION:

The Youth Tourism Development Organisation (YTDONigeria) formerly known as the Nigerian Youth Tourism Organisation (NYTO) was conceived and founded by Comrade Emmanuel Okon in July, 1994 in Lagos, Nigeria with Messrs Alex Agam and Sola Balogun as foundational members.

ORGANISATIONAL STATUS:

NYTO was founded as a national non-governmental, non-profit and non-political and membership driven organisation.

VISION AND MISSION:

To establish a unique platform for mobilisation of people, especially the youths, for involvement in the promotion of Nigeria’s tourism and cultural potentials, towards making them to become practitioners and investors as well as complementing government and private organisations efforts in the enhancement of jobs creations and employment opportunities, national and international peace and unity and; making Nigeria a global tourist destination.
