Ngozi Ngoka holds a master's degree in International Relations. She began her professional life in the logistics department of a construction company and soon realized her passion was for people, places, history and culture. She decided to pursue a career in tourism and consequently proceeded to obtain a post graduate degree in Tourism Management. She underwent professional training at Choice Holidays and Thomas Cook and in 2001, established Zigona Travel and Tours Ltd, a travel agency with a niche for bespoke travel experiences and destination events for the upscale market.
Ngozi is passionate about the tourism industry and frequently participates in tourism trade shows and conferences where she delivers topical academic papers and participates in tourism discussion panels. She is the pioneer chairperson of the Education and Training Committee of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) and was a member of the committee set up by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) to make recommendations for grading and standardization of hotels in Nigeria. She has also provided advisory services for two State Governments in Nigeria.
A fellow of the Institute of Tourism Professionals, Ngozi Ngoka is the Trustee Board Chairperson of the Touristry Consultants Forum (TCF) and Vice President of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) with oversight functions for five states in Nigeria.
She enjoys golfing, travelling and sharing her experiences in tourism publications. She often gives free developmental training to travel agents and participates in numerous mentorship programs for tourism practitioners.
