The association has been in existence for the past 40years. The member started as vendors with National Commission for Museum and Monuments. In 2001 the street rescuers of our associations and the vendors to the commission came together to form ARAN. In 2002 ARAN got recognized by NCMM and was fully registered with CAC as an NGO.
With its membership spread across the 7 geopolitical zones of Nigeria, its mission is to rescue, preserve and promote our cultural patrimonies.
Aims and Objectives.
  • To protect our artefacts and promote our cultural heritages.
  • To liaise with relevant government agencies to locate monitor and rescue monuments, works of Arts “in situ”
  • To collaborate with relevant government agencies to checkmate the excesses of antique vandals and poachers of Nigeria origin
  • To sensitize the general public on the socio cultural potentials of our customs, works of arts on a growing economy like ours.
To prohibit the sales of our cultural artefacts to unauthorised persons, institution worldwide.
